Refunds and Cancellation
Policy dates

Monthly billing and automatic renewal
Payments are charged through Stripe. Foundations costs $1,200 per month, Excellence $2,000 per month and Fellowship $5,000 per month. The selected monthly plan renews automatically and is charged monthly at that amount until canceled. Composition and Readiness each have a $2,000 flat price.
A flat-price add-on is a one-time charge for the agreed purchase, not a recurring subscription. Your first charge, billing date, selected plan, recurring-payment authorization and full payable amount will be shown before payment. Price changes require 30 days' written notice and apply only to the next billing period, never to the current paid period. You may cancel before the new price is charged.
How to cancel
Send a cancellation request to contact@vanguardscholars.org.
Email contact@vanguardscholars.org to cancel. By default, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid monthly billing period. No further recurring charges occur after the effective date. We will email the effective date. If you choose to stop services before the paid period ends, services end early and no refund is issued for the remainder of that period.
Include the enrollment or billing email so we can identify the plan. Do not send payment-card details. We review requests manually, acknowledge receipt and email the effective date. Cancellation does not require a phone call or discovery-call booking.
Current period, partial months and add-ons
Delivered work includes any session that has been held and any deliverable—including written feedback, plans or materials—that has been sent or made available to the client.
Delivered work is not refundable. Proportional refunds for undelivered prepaid services apply only when Vanguard cancels, suspends services without client fault, or cannot deliver the services—not when a client chooses to stop early. Add-ons are fully refundable before work starts; after work starts, the same delivered-work definition and provider-triggered proportional-refund rules apply. Duplicate or erroneous charges will be corrected or refunded.
Turning off renewal does not refund the current paid period. Choosing to stop a monthly service early ends the service early without a refund for the remaining period. This does not remove the right to a full refund for a separately purchased add-on before work starts. Where a provider-triggered proportional refund applies, we base the calculation on undelivered services against the agreed scope and explain it. We do not impose an undisclosed cancellation or processing fee.
Request rescheduling by email at least 24 hours before a mentoring session. With the required notice, reschedule within the paid service period, subject to mutually available times. A session missed without the required 24-hour notice is forfeited and is not made up or refunded. Reasonable exceptions may be made for emergencies. No separate no-show fee is charged. If Vanguard cancels a session, we offer a replacement or a refund for the undelivered session.
Duplicate or erroneous charges
Contact us if a charge is duplicated, for the wrong amount or otherwise incorrect. After checking the payment record, we correct the amount or refund the erroneous charge through Stripe. A correction does not require a separate purchase or continued enrollment.
Refund requests and processing
Email contact@vanguardscholars.org with the billing email, charge date and a short explanation. Do not send full card details. We review requests manually and explain any proportional calculation. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe. Once issued, they typically take 5-10 business days to appear. This is an estimate, not a guarantee.
Payment disputes
Please contact us before filing a chargeback so we can investigate and try to resolve the problem. This is a request, not a restriction on your right to contact Stripe, your bank or your card issuer. Do not miss their dispute deadlines while waiting for our response. There is no penalty or waiver of consumer rights for making a legitimate payment dispute.
